In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity..

" Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity."

More than ever Albert Einstein's words have a meaning and resonate in this time of global sanitary crisis. The world is threatened by a new Coronavirus named Covid-19 outbreak that turned into a pandemic and isolation is the recommended mean to control the spread of the virus and keep ourselves safe. It is a very difficult time like any other I have experienced. I am stuck at home. It is the second day of the 14 days of my temporary lay-off. Millions of people around the globe are in the same situation.
Our lives are shaken and we are challenged in face of an invisible enemy, an infectious disease that we can't yet control.

What to do with ourselves? I feel that it's a time to reevaluate our priorities and reflect on what is the most important. I am more than ever today grateful for my good health and my husband's that I can often take for granted. Without a good health you can't live a good life, take care of your family, work, and enjoy doing what you love doing and partake in your hobbies.

We live a world where everything goes fast: people, ideas, information, we go through life like we scroll our Facebook and Instagram feeds. The overflow of information, opinions or just everyday social media content thrown to the  face felt too overwhelming that I needed a break. And, I got what I wished for...!
I don't know when I will be back to work and the future is more than ever uncertain and worrying.
Somehow in my moments of self-talk with positive affirmations, I can see an opportunity for positive self-reflection and growth. I can bring my focus back to what matters the most and what needs to be improved. For example, write on this blog! Going back to writing like I used to do on my first ever blog that I created 8 years ago and slowly abandoned for lack of inspiration and motivation.
Finding new ways to make a living too, and act on it! Spend more time practicing the piano and especially catching up with my teacher Youtube channel, spending more time on learning music theory. Also reading too, I want to read more!
Finding different ways to exercise and lift weights (which will be a true challenge) because I can't jeopardize my health by going to my gym. Isolation is essential.
Not buying anything except basic necessities for a while. Using up what I already have and be humble.
Being grateful for who I am, the people I love and appreciate, where I am and what I have right now. Finding happiness in everyday details of life. Being aware in the now. Feeling grounded. and being more than ever courageous.

It's not going to be easy but we have to hold on to the essential and what matters the most to us. One day at a time, we will get out of the crisis if we act responsibly and accordingly to the WHO and the CDC recommendations.
