A little exercise to calm your mind in this hard time

In this time of uncertainty about the future, it’s important to stay focus on the present. The past is done and gone. You can’t control it. If you fully focus on the now, you won’t worry because you are not making up stories, hypothetical scenarios in your mind of what might happen , you are in full control of what is happening right now. You can control your thoughts. You can control your feelings. Just try it now. Stay still. If you can, stand up and put your hands on your hips, relax your shoulders, lift your chest, lift your chin and take deep, slow breaths. You can count  if you like, so that  it will help you be even more focus and calm. You won’t think about millions thoughts going on in your head. After this little exercise, how you feel?
Whenever I feel worried especially in this hard time, I remember to do that. It’s a way of re-centering myself on the moment present. The present, the now is the only time that you can control and make it the way the want it to be, first through your feelings, then with your thoughts. Consequently you’ll act accordingly.
