Who are your mentors when you feel powerless and lost?

In those difficult times, we all can feel at times down, hopeless, defeated, confused and lost. When it happens, I turn to people to can cheer me up, motivate me, and help me letting go of negative thoughts.
It can be hard and challenging to people like myself that are isolated. So it is important to have people you can turn to. It can certainly be people that you don't necessary know personally. These people can be mentors who possess great knowledge and a philosophy that resonate with you.

In our current time they are so many so-called influencers, coach, motivational speakers that it can be very hard to find people that are genuinely authentic and knowledgeable in the expertise they are known for or promote.
It's important to also learn and educate yourself about the thing that you want to learn and want to comprehend. It's easy to fall into the wide trap of social media and follow individuals who seem to know what they are talking about but don't have much credentials.

Having mentors during the good and bad times are essential to me. There are close friends and family members I can turn to for help and advice. There are also a small circle of public professionals that I listen to and trust. They are from different fields of expertise whether it's Psychology, Beauty, Finance, Fitness, Science or Arts.

I can see that personal development and motivational videos are extremely popular on YouTube for example. The experts in that field are extremely busy and upload new videos every single day! I thank them a lot for their work and time because it's much needed and comforting when confinement, and unemployment is getting difficult to bear.

What are the philosophies that help you go through difficult times like this current pandemic?
